MAD Solutions released the official trailer for Jihan K’s documentary MY FATHER AND QADDAFI .

In this film, a daughter unravels the disappearance of her father, the opposition leader to Qaddafi, and pieces together her mother’s 19-year search to find him. Without any memory of her father, she tries to reconnect with him and reconcile with her Libyan identity.

A US production, MY FATHER AND QADDAFI is produced by Jihan K, executive produced by Dave Guenette, Mohamed Soueid, and Sol Guy, co-produced by Andreas Rocksén and William Johansson Kalén of Laika Film, with Jayson Jackson and Mohamed Siam serving as consulting producers.

The film received funding from various international sources.

Commenting on the film, MAD Solutions co-founders Alaa Karkouti and Maher Diab– whose company’s logo also adorns the poster– said the project represents another example of MAD boarding projects that help demystify the Arab World for global audiences. “Part of our mission involves focusing on some of the region’s — in most cases demonized — key historical figures and delving into the stories behind their public image, which was often constructed by them or Western media outlets.”

MAD Distribution is handling the film's distribution in the Arab world, while MAD World is managing its sales in the rest of the world.
