Director – Dhana’s Portrait

Marie-Rose Osta is a Lebanese scriptwriter and director working across film, episodic formats, and video essays. Her short film Then Came Dark (2021) won the Special Jury Prize at the Cairo International Film Festival and screened at Videobrasil Biennial.

Her latest short, Someday, a Child (2026), premiered at Berlinale Shorts. She is currently developing her debut feature Mina and the series Echoes, supported by the Doha Film Institute. In 2024, she founded Les Flâneurs Films, an independent Paris-based production studio.
