Bachir Abou Zeid is a Lebanese film instructor, writer, director, and producer who directed and produced his first feature MAKFOUD at the age of 23.
While working on MAFKOUD, he was awarded a full scholarship to the MET Film School in London, where he graduated in 2015 with an MA in film-making specializing in directing.

His repertoire includes short films that won international recognition in several international film festivals, including KALASH, which was completed as his master's thesis and is a 30-minute uninterrupted war drama. The film went on to become a semifinalist at the Students Academy Awards.

KALASH was also selected for more than 15 international film festivals, where it received multiple awards.

Recently, he founded the Beirut Film Institute as a production company that aims to produce shorts and feature-length films, as well as merge and interconnect talents and professionals in the media industry across the Arab world.
